Their customer service was excellent - the representative I spoke to when planning the move was very friendly, thorough, and extremely accommodating. I had to change the moving route last minute and add a few furniture items to the moving list, which they were happy to help with. The movers themselves were kind, efficient, and got the job done super quickly! I had previously moved all of this furniture myself with my partner and we were so glad to have the help of professionals this time - it saved us lots of time and energy! They arrived on time and moved everything efficiently. They answered all our queries patiently and helped us unpack too. We had a large 3 bedroom house to move with delicate items. Mike was super responsive to my initial query, literally within minutes, after I was referred by another team who were fully booked in my preferred timeframe. On move day my team were Antonio, Manuel, and Franco and they were awesome. Showed up promptly, got to work right away and did not pause until the job was done. They handled all my items with care and made sure I was fully satisfied with how everything was laid out in the storage unit on the other side. Anyone who has moved knows how incredibly stressful it can be. Moving services like Yak and Yeti really ease some of that burden. The physical intensity of this work is brutal and back-breaking, I'm really grateful to Antonio, Manuel and Franco for all of their hard work. Highly recommend.

I recently moved from a two bedroom townhome in San Ramon to a larger house in Vacaville, and the entire process was incredibly smooth and stress free. The movers were super friendly, engaging and were very professional. What impressed me the most about the movers was their ability to properly wrap and protect my belongings and take the time and effort to safely move and transfer all the items as if they were their own. I had 3 movers come to my home in Richmond bright and early and they were in such good spirits for it to be so early. Which I loved. I had an extremely heavy bed and they moved it with grace and confidence. The move was from Richmond to Oakland and they were able to knock it out in such fast timing! I love when I have movers that are in good spirts and crack a few jokes and thats what the yak and yeti team had - they were even able to make my husband smile a few times and he is not a morning person lol. They placed and wrapped everything so nice without a scratch and even had to move a few things upstairs. Thank you so much yak and yeti . I will definitely be using your service again !!!! Janae

 Verified I replied to their email survey asking how I felt about their service and  let them know I was unhappy with being charged twice the estimate I was given, among other things. It's been over a month and they have not responded. I had some other issues I wanted to discuss, but since they never got back to me, I'll mention them here. When the movers came, they had me sign three signature pads. I asked a couple of times what I was signing and with the exception of being told that one of the signatures was to allow them to do the move, I have no idea what the other signatures were for. I asked twice but couldn't quite understand the response. My bad for signing when I wasn't sure what I was signing but I was under a time crunch for the move to happen so didn't have much of a choice. To ask someone to sign something without having a written explanation of what is being signed seems  at best unprofessional and at worst, unethical. When I originally scheduled the move, I was told I could pay by Zelle, cash, check or credit card but if I paid by credit card, there would be an extra charge. When the move was over, I tried to pay by Zelle and when he didn't want Zelle, I told him I could pay by check. He said he wanted me to pay by credit card - the only form of payment that was going to cost me more. That felt sketchy. And finally, there are double doors leading to my apartment. One of the doors wasn't opening so they used force to push it open and now the two doors are no longer flush with each other.  I think what adds another layer of frustration to all of this is that the company knows I was not happy with their services and have done nothing to contact me about it. Hopefully I won't be moving anytime in the near future but if I do, I won't be using this company.

 Verified A week before my moving date, the movers I had initially hired cancelled on me. I frantically started calling everyone I could find. After asking a few different companies for their availability I happened to call Yak and Yeti Movers. Laxman (hope I spelled correctly) answered the call and was very accommodating to my questions and price was reasonable. Their professionalism over the phone made me feel very comfortable about hiring them. The day of the move, I had the pleasure of having Santos and his team move my belongings. They made me feel like my belongings and property were well cared for. Yak and Yeti made the move feel stress free and their team's work ethic and professionalism earned my 5 star review. I hired this firm because they are local to Alameda County and they are a minority co.   Family owned.  I'm so impressed by my crew , who went above and beyond.
